Garbage That Can be Placed at Collection Site

Notice:
1.  You must put out the garbage separately according to the four types: Burnable Waste, Non-burnable Waste, Plastic Wrapping Materials and Recyclable Waste.
2.  You must use the garbage bags designated by Maebashi City.
3.  The collecting dates are decided in each town. Check the dates on the calendar.

4.  Garbage should be put out by 8 am on the collection day.
5.  Ask your neighbor where the collection site is.


◆ How to Put Out Garbage
Burnable Waste (collected twice a week):

Kitchen Waste
(drain well)

Wastepaper

(remove excretions)

Heavily Stained Plastic Products

Leather Products
(Bags, shoes, etc.)

Grass and Twigs
(Grass and twigs should be shorter than 50cm, and thinner than 4cm. Tie them in a bundle smaller than 30cm in diameter. You can put out only two bundles per collection.)

Plastic Products without the “Pula” mark.
(Rubber products, CDs, cassette tapes, toothbrushes, colanders, buckets, etc.)

How to Put Out:
Place into a designated city bag.

Exception:
No need to place newspapers, magazines, cardboard, twigs and wood into a garbage bag if they are tied into bundles.
**Put out newspapers, magazines, cardboard and packing paper to the group collection of valuable resources organized by local groups such as a residents’ association, if possible.

Glass Bottles  (Juice, beer, alcohol, tonic, food seasoning bottles, etc.)

**Empty contents and wash inside with water.
**Place metal caps to Non-burnable Waste, and plastic caps to Plastic Wrapping Materials.

How to Put Out:
Sort according to color and place in the appropriate container.

**Put into a clear bag, and place into the appropriate container.

Fluorescent Light Bulbs
**Put into their cases, or wrap them in paper.

How to Put Out:
Place in the yellow container.


◆ Group Collection of Valuable Resources
Local groups such as a residents’ association and a children’s community organize the group collection in order to recycle valuable resources. Ask your neighbors when and where the collection is.
